Angela Lumicisi


Angela trained in classical singing at the Melba Conservatorium.

Angela’s musical theatre credits include Act a Lady at La Mamma, Theatre in Education shows Meraviglia with More than Opera and Claudia with Spectacular Spettacolo, Ozmade (Magnormos 10th Anniversary Concert at the Comedy Theatre) and her performance as Scotty in Merrily We Roll Along at the Melbourne Recital Centre. Other theatre credits include the Melbourne Premiere of Macbeth: the Contemporary Rock Operaas Lady Macbeth, Flora the Red Menace with Magnormous, readings of Archy and Mehitabel, Stephen Sondheim’s Saturday Night at the BMW Edge, A New Brain (Octave Theatre), Merrily We Roll Along (Devanesen Productions), Working (Magnormos) and Little Shop of Horrors (ACT).

Angela’s classical appearances include Sylviane in The Merry WidowCavalleria Rusticana and Pagliacci with Melbourne Opera, Merrie England with Lyric Opera and An introduction to Italian Opera with More than Opera. Angela performed the title role in Madame Butterfly with the Mornington Peninsula Theatre Company, also Postcard from Carlton with More than Opera, the opening of the Superdome for the 2000 Sydney Olympics with the Melbourne Chorale and appeared with the Australian Ballet in Carmina Burana and Faure’s Requiem.

Angela appears regularly in cabaret, writing and producing a number of shows. Her cabaret shows include We’ve Only Just Begun, The Music of The Carpenters, Solitaire, reWorks and The Casting Couch.
