Today Alan Jones the breakfast host from 2GB did an outside broadcast from the home of WICKED Australia, the Capitol Theatre. The morning began at 5.30am and was a huge success! Audience members were treated to a performance of “The Wizard and I” by Jemma Rix along with interviews of Rob & Lucy.

Some lucky audience members also won WICKED prizes! Although it was an early start for most, people were in high spirits and it was an oz-some start to the morning.

Guess who went and saw WICKED last night? Daniel Cudmore & Gil Birmingham from TWILIGHT! Daniel plays Felix in Twilight and Gil plays Billy Black.

Both Rob & Lucy had the chance to meet the stars after the performance.

Our charming prince, Rob Mills delighted the crowd of over 20,000 at Rosehill Racecourse on Saturday 3 April, by singing the National Anthem prior to the AAMI Golden Slipper race.

Rob was also a Myer Fashions on the Field judge alongside the beautiful Sydney Turf Club racing ambassador Rachel Finch, Packed to the Rafter’s Hugh Sheridan, and face of Myer and partner of Danni Minogue, Chris Smith.

From April 1, see some of the Tony Award® winning costumes and sketches from WICKED, Broadway’s biggest blockbuster musical.

Where: Westfield Parramatta, Level 4 near Borders and Events Cinema.

Last Friday, WICKED cast members Jemma Rix, Rob Mills, Christina Tan and Melanie Hawkins joined WICKED’s Sponsors on the WICKED Volvo Drive Day. The day was an opportunity for WICKED’S suite of sponsors to engage with fellow sponsors and WICKED cast members, as well as experiencing the range of luxurious Volvo cars that were provided by WICKED’s official vehicle partner, Volvo.

The day started at VIBE Rushcutter Bay, and guests were allocated into groups of 4. The groups then participated in a planned drive throughout outer Sydney, on the way to the lunch destination of Palm Beach. Stops were planned along the route, so that each group could swap over into the different range of Volvos. The WICKED C70 convertible was very popular amongst the guests and the cast members. We were pleased to say that everyone arrived home safe and sound at the end of the day.

Many thanks to Volvo and all of the WICKED sponsors who contributed to making it such a special day.

WICKED enjoyed a great January hitting all the amazing Sydney beaches in the WICKED Volvos giving out plenty of WICKED merchandise.

The only disappointing aspect was when the WICKED ball got swept out to sea at Bondi Beach. It’s probably reached New Zealand by now!

Thanks to all of you that headed down to visit the team throughout Summer. Thanks also to Volvo for their fantastic support.

The next time you can visit the WICKED team will be at Bondi Beach next Wednesday between 11am-3pm and then again during the Mardi Gras FAIR DAY on Sunday 21 February between 10am-6pm.

Head to our Facebook page Wicked in Oz to check out all the photos!

Lucy and Jemma stunned the audience down at Darling Harbour yesterday singing ‘For Good’ for a packed Australia Day crowd. Don’t they look fantastic! Lucy was dressed by Charlie Brown and Jemma was dressed by Wayne Cooper. A big thanks to Myer for assisting with their glamorous outfits!

The WICKED promo team was also out in full force helping shade the crowd with the awesome WICKED visors.

Throughout January you can see a selection of original Australian production shots at Customs House. Last night at Sydney’s Four Seasons hotel, Jemma Rix performed the Wizard and I at the Ethnic Business Awards, where guests included her Excellency Governor General Quentin Bryce, AC.

Dressed by Myer, Westfield Bondi Junction in a stunning Wayne Cooper dress she amazed the guests. This will be shown on SBS television throughout December.

On this morning program of Mornings with Kerri-Anne Kennerley the entire show was devoted to WICKED and the land of Oz!

The cast of WICKED performed two numbers – What is this Feeling? and Popular.

Kerri-Anne interviewed some of the principal cast – Lucy Durack, Rob Mills, Jemma Rix, Penny McNamee and James Smith.

And in a spectacular first, Kerri-Anne left her trademark glitz and glamour behind and became the Wicked Witch of the West. WICKED’S Kellie Ritchie applied the Elphaba green makeup for the transformation. Jamie Malcolm got into the spirit by dressing as the Tin Man too.

A big thank you goes out to SATCH who dressed the WICKED cast members in theiroz-some attire. Check out the photos!

On Saturday 14 November some of the cast of WICKED enjoyed an oz-some morning at McDonalds raising money for McHappy Day, which helps sick children and their families. Here are some of the guys from the cast with Miss Universe Australia, Rachael Finch who is McHappy Day’s ambassador.
