Elphaba and Glinda defied gravity as they flew into Perth yesterday ahead of their first performance at the Crown Theatre this Sunday. Arriving by helicopter at Kings Park, they were greeted by spellbound students from Rosalie Primary School.

On Tuesday 11 March members of the WICKED cast joined Australian co-producer John Frost inside the greenified Doltone House to officially launch the Broadway Blockbuster’s Sydney season.

Hosted by Richard Wilkins, the event introduced cast members Lucy Durack, Jemma Rix, Steve Danielsen, Reg Livermore and Maggie Kirkpatrick to Sydney audiences.

Giving attendees a preview of some of the gravity defying performances they can expect when the show reaches the Capitol Theatre in September, the talented cast also shared their views on what makes WICKED so magical.

On 8 July, the WICKED cast traded the Emerald City for the streets of Melbourne’s CBD to officially announce the production’s return to Melbourne for a strictly limited season in 2014.

To celebrate the occasion, WICKED Australian co-producer John Frost was joined by Minister for the Arts, Women’s Affairs and Consumer Affairs, Hon.
