WICKED Cast Update

Lilli CooperWICKED welcomes Lilli Cooper as Elphaba Standby until June 15 while Ali Cooper is recuperating from a traffic accident.

A native New Yorker, Lilli is delighted to make her Australian stage debut in the Melbourne production of WICKED after understudying the role of Elphaba in the North American Tour. She made her Broadway debut in the hit new musical Spring Awakening at age 16, while attending LaGuardia Arts High School in New York City. She can also be heard on Spring Awakening’s Original Broadway Cast recording.

Described in The New Yorker as “Perfectly cast”, Lilli was most recently seen in the Off-Broadway revival of The Threepenny Opera, where she played Lucy Brown. Cooper’s favourite theatre credits include LMNOP (Goodspeed’s Norma Terris), Independents (New York Times Critic’s Pick), Skin of Our Teeth and Reasons to Be Pretty. She has performed on The View, Good Morning America and The American Theater Wing’s Tony Awards and can be seen in a handful of national commercials.

Huge thanks to everyone at Buchwald, Telsey + Co! and her WICKED family.
